Work in Progress…

January 25th, 2010 by Kate

I’ve started several new pieces these last couple of weeks.

Work in progress 1

I now have eight canvases started for the Brighouse exhibition. Last term Hattie and I were invited into Greetland Primary school to do some work with the year 6. We all worked on landscapes of Greetland; they created individual buildings which I patch worked together. These two big pieces are almost complete now; we just need to go in for one last session for the finishing touches. Inspired by their interpretation of Greetland I’ve started a landscape of my own:

Work in progress 2

I’m really hoping to display the children’s and my Greetland paintings altogether at some point.

All the very best for 2010 Kate – still admiring your work from afar and longing for an original of my own one day! Can’t wait to see the snow pics finished – think they will be awesome, especially for someone a verryy long way from the white stuff these days! KT :)
