Painted for 'Whispering Ruins' – an exhibition of paintings based on North Yorkshire Abbeys at Chantry House Gallery, Ripley.

Towards the end of autumn 2021 I escaped on a little drawing trip to an area of North Yorkshire with a cluster of Abbeys. It was strange to be at Fountains Abbey on my own and I felt a bit guilty as my children love to go, and invariably find something to competitively collect; last year I think it was pheasant feathers.
