The Tree of Life – Hebden Bridge (2018)

This was created in 2018 for an art auction for Hebden Bridge Valley Pride. Revolution was the theme and though I initially said that I was the least revolutionary artist you could meet, the theme got me thinking. Hebden Bridge is a wonderful place made up of a diverse range of people. Locals, second and third generation hippy incomers and off-cumdens (like me). There's a big gay community. There are huge numbers of artists and musicians. The tree is made up of different branches, different leaves; of big tropical birds and little plain ones. Things that don't necessarily belong together, together can create a whole, bigger and more beautiful than the sum of its parts.

Available as a signed limited edition print, hand-finished with gold leaf and gold thread. All prints are mounted and can be posted, unless purchased framed.
