Sitting perilously close the cliff edge, looking across at Whitby Lighthouse. Unofficially, the lighthouse was known locally as 'The Hawsker Bull' for it's dramatic foghorn that sounded like a distressed bull. This was a last minute, last weekend of the Christmas holidays, family trip to Whitby to blow the cobwebs away before the start of term. Fish and chips, bunk beds, vast dramatic skies, fossils, and icy winds. Just perfect.
