Baht 'at (2021)
Original media: Inks, gouache, acrylics, watercolour, pencil, 23 carat gold leaf and gold thread
Painted for ‘Woodland Paths & Grand Days Out', a solo exhibition at Bankfield Museum, Halifax.
I requested a trip to Ilkley for my birthday this year; a walk then afternoon tea at Betty’s Cafe. It was hotter than forecast so we all caught the sun (hence the title). Just before this view, the kids were tickled to see two very serious looking men with remote control Action Man Jeeps (each with an Action Man and a Barbie in), apparently driving them all along the rocky ridge. I regret not asking them why!
