Princes Street Gardens (2017)
Original media: Inks, gouache, acrylics, gold leaf and gold thread
The Princes Street Gardens opposite Jenners in Edinburgh. I love this view! When I was small my Dad took my sister and I for lunch in Jenners. He bought me a Waldorf salad to make me laugh (I was a big Fawlty Towers fan) and an elderly Scottish gentleman told me to sit up straight. It felt very genteel. I've been many times since and I love the view up through the trees to the impossibly tall buildings that all look like bits of Hogwarts.
