Emily's Garden (2012)
Original media: Inks, gouache, acrylics, gold leaf and gold thread
Measures 49.5cm x 81.5cm (mounted)
Bridge Lanes used to be a very crowded slum area of Hebden Bridge, demolished in the 1950's for a redevelopment that never came. There are remains of the old houses and streets behind the main road. Some friends have excavated the shell of two old buildings and built sheltered gardens inside.
