This is late. I have been so busy! Partly re stocking the gallery, and party making it up to my neglected family. The photographs here are almost all Alison’s as I didn’t get a chance to take any.
The Private View at Heart Gallery last Thursday (March 28th) was wonderful. It was welcoming, and busy and buzzing from the moment Alison opened the doors at 6pm.
Red spots were appearing left right and centre. One of the biggest pieces, Bridge Lanes, was bought over the phone by a lady in The States!
Prints were in demand too.
The ‘dot’ theme was continued by the wonderful Alison Bartrum and the girls who worked so hard, not just on the night, but in the build up.
Many of the new paintings are sold, but they are to remain on display for a while yet. So please come in and see them, if you haven’t already…
I shall be very sad to see this one go to it’s new home. Though the nice new owners have said I can visit!
The twins stayed at home (can you imagine the possible destruction from two rampaging 2 year olds?), but my daughter came. She chose her outfit very carefully. This is just what you should wear to a private view don’t you think?
It was lovely to meet people, especially people I’ve been in email or twitter contact with for ages. People like Jenny Tidman, who made some delightful felt bowls to go in the picture room alongside my paintings!
And here we are at the end. Tired, but very very happy!
